Basically, do you have a few emoji, symbols or short phrases you type all the time that you're sick of typing out or searching for on a key map? Boom, then program a key on the iKeywi! Set it and forget it! To be honest, the idea is pretty unique. I look for stuff like this so my patience is longer than the typical user. Maybe this was a new iOS devs "first keyboard" project. Think of that way. If that's the case, it's fantastic! I'm keeping it. I'm not near done messing with it. Now I can type my diamond divider without switching keyboards or doing a copy/paste from another app! ✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦✧✦

You need to copy the Samsung keyboard and how there’s respond because the number line the fifth line should never change it should stay numbers or unless you had a special symbol key and that’s what you need and put all the special characters on the keyboard key and the keyboard needs to be bigger. Check out AI type keyboard so you can see there and the ability to adjust the size of the keyboard and the keys.

Like the other reviews, I downloaded this because I miss SwipeSelection so much from when I was jailbroken. I think it’s what I miss the most from being jailbroken. That functionality (scrolling left and right just wish the keyboard) is the only thing that actually seems to work here. There’s no autocorrect and the letters aren’t even recognized a lot of the time. I’m disappointed.

i get that some peolle out there like the 5th row, but for others the swipe feature is all we want. The keyboard with the 5th row make the keys extremely small, and im uskng a 7+. The auto correct is terrible, but thankfully theres an option to turn that off. If you add most options in the settings alot of these issues would resolve themselves. Alsl even after turning the auto correct feature off i still get the annoing gray bare spelling words out, it just doesnt change them. Id just like to customize this keyboard so that it looks like tbe stock ios board but with the swipe feature. Apple 3D touch swipe feature is terrible, yours works great. Id happilygive more stars and promote it to anyone if given more setting options to eleminate these un wanted features(unwanted by me and possibly others).

incorrectly spelled words arent getting replaced and its hard to press the right key. Maybe give users access to change the size of the keyboard. The buttons are too small.

iKeywi Bad Name - GREAT APP!! This App works as it should seamlessly. Despite OLD Negative Feedback Rating, I took a chance. Basic easy instructions; WITH a 5 second video for integration for iOS on your iPhone or iPad. You would have to be a moron not to understand. I am using this on a iPhone 6 iOS 10.3.2. Save yourself some time by switching between keyboard screens all the time, searching for the numbers, ampersand & comma's. Did I mention this is customizable so you can use it to suit your typing style needs 🙃! So my 5th row has @ ; ?:/"! Those are some of the thing I use the most & hate switching between screens to find them!! It does take getting used to.. I must write that. We are like trained pigs at this point. LOL! The other downside is the SPELL CHECKER leaves a lot to be desired at this time.. However, I do read by the developer they are working on this. Fingers crossed 🤞 5 ✨ Stars

Original review on 18 June 2017 Very helpful extra row with the customized punctuation symbols on my 5th row. It is helpful on long texts and for emails. It is an app I would like to see updated and rewritten for iOS 11.0 and up. If the original developer of this app has abandoned this keyboard app I would like Apple to buy the copyrights to it and then build it into their iOS default keyboard.

Sometimes it shows up on the keyboard sometimes it dont it doesnt give you a bold version for the letters. I woukdnt recommend it and it doesnt have auto correct all I got it for was for the top row numbers

Maybe update to the same feature/functionality as v 3.2.2 if possible?

Keys Review I am so glad to find this app. I have missed it so much. I had it when my phone was jail broken and used it constantly. My favorite feature is the ability to slide my finger across the keyboard to move the cursor to the desired location. I always have such trouble using the Apple magnifying glass. I can never get it to the right spot without a lot of anx. There are a couple of things that you need to know to get the most use out of this app. First, there are some complaints about the keyboard not having the ability to dictate using your voice. The easiest way to resolve this is to have multiple keyboards available when you touch the "world" next to the space bar. You do this by going to settings/general/keyboard/keyboards to add and organize the order that the keyboards will show up through the cycle. I have iKeywi first, then English second, then Emoji third. When I want to use voice to dictate I just touch the "world" and cycle through to the English keyboard. Press it two more times and I'm back to the iKeywi board. This is the same process I would use if I wanted an emoji. Second, there are some complaints about the accuracy of the keyboard. I have noticed that since they have added a fifth row, the other keys are smaller and I have to pay a little closer attention when I am typing the keys in order to hit the correct ones. As long as I pay attention I don't seem to have any problems. This is a fantastic app and I wanted to give some insights so that others could enjoy it as much as I do.

It doesn't allow you to remap the keys.

When you install iKeywi you gain the 5th row but... you lose the option to "talk to text"... No more microphone next to the "space bar" on the keyboard. Can this be fixed???

Works well. No mic though. Bummer. I use speech-to-text ALL the time.

Prone to spelling error. Suddenly. Going berserk. Start deleting texts. Nuts! Totally! Waste!

Difficult to set characters, slow, can't turn off predictive type, over complicated. I don't like it.

When looking for a keyboard on the net, this one always pops up first. They must have paid soneone. Decent design, but buggy as hell. Button presses don't register, and cursor skips around. And I paid for this.

I like the fact that the keyboard is simple and resembles the iOS default with the addition of the number keys, however, if I type quickly in Safari and such, on my iPad Air 2 / iOS 9, keystrokes are frequently missed and the resulting string does not match what I typed.

I love the keyboard but there could be some improvements. I wish the keyboard would have a personal dictionary. I wish the size was a little taller. And the auto correct is a little buggy. Other than this I love the keyboard.

Doesn't correct your words good at all, it's glitchy and complicated

A few fixes and this would be the best keyboard on any device ever. 1) Allow us the option of removing the extra row. Keys can be too small with it. 2) Fix some auto-correct issues, notably "i" should be "I" when it's a word. 3) Fix some keyboard behaviors, notably the apostrophe should revert back to the alpha keyboard when entered (because an apostrophe is usually followed by a letter or a space). In general, follow what Apple does, but allow us to swipe select the keyboard and show case.

please make it show on password and also the shortcut won't work.

Had trouble with passwords. Number row would not show when typing passwords. Also could not pull up any keyboard in text messages.

I tried it out despite the mediocre reviews, but I have to agree. This app sucked. Typing is horrible, autocorrect doesn't work at all. A wasted $1.

First I'm not one to write negative reviews. I often say things work as they're made to, it's not the apps fault it didn't work as I wanted. However this app instantly made typing inconsistent and slow. Often the keys would appear as if I hit one but nothing would appear. Simply adding the swipe to highlight as "swipes election" has was too cumbersome. To the developer I'd like my 99 cents back

Keyboard does not work with current keyboard. As a result, the autucorrect is worse horrible. It cannot pick up what seems like simple errors. You have to delete your current keyboard which means any leading your factory keyboard has made will be wiped out. Mad I wasted money.

I bought this app because I wanted that extra raw that includes numbers. However, It is doing the auto correction even though I is turned it off! Waste of money!

I've been dying to get a keyboard with a numerical row at the top since there's plenty of space on the 6+. While it sort of works, it is completely unstable. It doesn't actually add an extra row, instead it squishes the existing keyboard keys smaller to make room. Perhaps this is an iOS limitation, but it reduces typing accuracy significantly.

I love that it has a 5th row (and its customizable) AND it has predictive text, but the letter keys are so tiny I never hit the correct letter (and I have tiny hands). That made it unusable.

What a piece of junk. It really screwed up my phone and my iPad.

On iphone 6 i can't see anything i type in here. I am forced to use the default keyboard or the text is like white letters on white background. Also, please add a Settings page, so we could get rid of the predictive area (and make bigger keys instead). A nice feature would be to choose between dark and white keyboard...

The swipe selection like functionality works great for me but everything else stinks. I hate to say that but it's true. This version is not worth your time, it's buggy and inconsistent. I would be interested to see rev 2.

The smallness of the keys, especially relative to the vastly improved stock keyboard, makes it not worth the added features. All it needs is keys the same size as the stock ones, but until then it’s unusable, AFAIK.

WORKED GREAT FOR 1-2 DAYS THEN IT STOPPED

This installs, and let's you (theoretically) configure it, but the fifth row (no matter what you tell it) stays blank. Tested on an iPad 3 and 4, and an iPhone 5c and 6 plus. On the 6 plus, the swipe-to-move-cursor/insertion point did work, but the fifth row (for all devices, in all states and configurations) stayed three long grey blank(no extra buttons). Older reviews show that this used to work on "JB" devices, so I expect it will be updated to work soon. Will update this review when this works. Also, the support link on the App Store leads to a page that is not in English. Unable to locate any English support for this app (wanted to contact developer before leaving a negative review).

This app is good for nothing. I wested my money on that :(

I bought this keyboard to get the swipe gestures to move the cursor. It works ok but is overly sensitive. Swiping over two keys moves the cursor about 5 characters so you have to make very small movements. The 5th row of keys is nice but messes up the bindings. For example, the delete button doesn't work and thus registers that I tapped the return key below it. The keyboard doesn't work nicely with several apps and crashes so you have a blank space where the keyboard should be. You have to kill the app to get the keyboard to load. In summary, when it works, it's really nice. When it doesn't (and it doesn't work often), it's really frustrating. These are mostly bugs that I assume could be fixed so, like someone else said, treat it like an Alpha with potential to be really cool.

I thought the arabic support will come faster but still waiting!

Had this thru jail breaking, and was the main reason I still jail broke my phone thru iOS 7. My main issue now is the predictive text. It is terrible. The choices that come up make no sense, and make the keys a tad too small. Need the ability to turn off to get that bar space back. Loved it before, and expect it'll improve...hopefully sooner than later.

Terrible keyboard. You can type at all. The cursor movies upon every key press, even when disabled. None of the customized settings work. Total rip.
